Mr Dr B.V.Rama Mohana Rao is the Principal of the Narasaraopeta Engineering College. He did his graduation from Nagarjuna University, Guntur in Electronics & Commmunication Engineering with 1st class and distinction in the year 1988.

He completed his M.Tech in IIT Khargpur in the year 1994 with specialization in Integrated Circuits and Systems. He also got Ph.D from IIT Khargpur in the field of Micro Electronics and Opto Electronics in the year 1999.

There are 25 publications to his credit. He worked for 4 years as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of ECE, Baptla Engineering College, Bapatla (1988-92). He worked as a Teaching Associate at IIT Kharagpur in the Dept of ECE for a period of 5 years(1994-99) while pursuing Ph.D. Subsequently he worked as a Associate Professor in Vignan's Engineering College, Vadlamudi, in the Dept of ECE for 2 Years (1999-2001) before joining NEC.

He joined this NEC as a Professor and Head of Department, ECE Department on 5th March 2001 and continued up to 14th March 2006 (5Years). He has been promoted as Principal on 15th March 2006.
