Narsaraopeta Engineering College (NEC) is yet another shining example of dedication for education. Quality which is the hallmark of Gayatri Educational Development Society (GEDS) is the patron and sponsor of NEC. In the golden times of the Golden Jubilee year of Independence 1998, the portals of NEC were opened for scholars. With a view to promote quality education in the state – mainly in the Palnadu area, a group of philanthropists, academics and industrialists joined forces for its formation.
Sri Mittapalli Venkata Koteswararao is the Chairman of the Narasaraopeta Engineering college and Founder of Gayatri Educational Development Society. It was established with the main aim of providing Technical education in the Palnadu Region. He is a well known Philanthropist and Industrialist of Guntur District and he is also one of the member of SONET - Society for Networking for Excellence in Technical Education, Govt. of A.P.
Alumni are the strength of the Narasaraopeta Engineering College. NEC takes great pride in the Alumni as the members are all in highly respectable professional positions in various industries and are closely associated with the college. Every Year College organizes an Alumni meeting to provide a platform for the seniors to give suggestions and experiences to the juniors on career, industry opportunities, higher education (Indian/Overseas), feedback/suggestions for improvement on training etc. In addition to that a facility of exchanging information through mails is also provided.
NEC has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.
